We all know about Sarah Guyard-Guillot, the KA performer who lost her life recently. You have read about her beauty and talent and grace.
What you may not know is that Miss Sarah, as the children called her, was the owner of Cirque Fit and a devoted instructor at RISE Educational resource Center.
She was also the mother of two small children.
RISE is where we host our Reading with Love Dogs and today were honored to be included as part of the fundraiser for Miss Sarah’s family.
The outpouring of love and respect for this young woman was palpable. Families from all over the valley came to learn all sorts of things today from baton twirling to horse sense!
And of course one of the most popular hours was Reading with the Love Dogs.
We had several Love Dogs there and tons of children new to our program.
We also saw dear friends such as Julian and Mateo who came out to support this effort.
We read stories and shared stories about Miss Sarah and the children got to spend an hour with the warmth of furry friends.
Our Reading with the Love Dogs program resumes on September 17 on a weekly basis at Rise. Every Tuesday we will bring in Pet Partner therapy dogs to read to and with the children.
Our program is free to the public but today all the teachers agreed to partake in the fundraiser so all the monies donated will be given to Sarah’s family.
Thank you everyone for making today such a special one for Miss Sarah, her family, the dogs and handlers and all the remarkable people involved with RISE.
