Bailey the majestic Golden was one of our first Love Dogs in Las Vegas. He started his therapy career working with reading programs and school programs. He also established quite a following at a skilled nursing facility and anywhere we asked him to go.
A beautiful, large Golden, Bailey loved working. And as he aged, rather than retire he just changed his specialty, and became a champion therapy dog with special children.
Bailey was their inspiration.
Having had many orthopedic surgeries himself he could relate to those children experiencing difficulties. Bailey was perhaps “the most expensive free dog in Vegas!”
Bailey was the dog who introduced Julian to gentle giants.
Bailey was the first big dog Julian walked.
Bailey was the first big dog Julian loved.
Bailey was the dog that helped fearful children feel safe with a large dog.
Bailey was the dog many children could all fit on to lay comfortably while reading.
Bailey was the dog who could balance treats on his nose – forever!
Bailey was the dog who could inspire walking and soldiering on.
Bailey was the dog who had an endless capacity to love.
Bailey was the dog who always wanted children in his family and got his wish.
Bailey was the glue that cemented his family together.
Bailey passed away yesterday and is now the dog we will never forget.
We send our sincerest condolences to Bailey’s human family Kelly, Craig, Stevi and Jon and his canine sibling Liddy.
