Benny has not worked in the Therapy Center for a year now since his favorite little boy moved away. But today he met his new boy and was he happy!
Benny recovered just in time to begin working with this special boy and today was their first meeting. We thought it would just be to assess if having the dog there could facilitate his therapy, but it went beyond our expectations. The child made direct eye contact, brushed Benny, listened and asked about the dog and even gave him a treat. And he was able to concentrate on other tasks with Benny very close by which is huge.
Benny was tired after the hour but I am so very proud of this little dog. He thrives when one-on-one with a child and having this new assignment will not only aid the child, but the little dog as well.
